    Hi,

I am about to release an EE site to a client and am wondering if anyone would be willing to share a handout or guide that they give to clients when they turn the site over to them.

I know that each site is custom built, but I am just looking for some ideas about how to go about a guide visually.

    Thanks!

For simple sites I usually put together some screencasts showing them how to do the basics: add/delete/categories/uploading images etc.

Explaining procedures visually can be of real benefit to some clients.

I usually include a couple hours of training for the staff. Either they get it, or they don’t. I have never bothered writing up a “manual” because I have found that MOst people wont read it.

Now a “cheat sheet” would probably be most helpful. Create a generic structure and modify it for each job.

My approach is to hold face to face training and then record screencasts that clients can watch again.
