I’m wondering if there are any EE-based sports-related websites out there. A quick run through of the gallery didn’t reveal any. I’m mostly interested in how to handle stats (game stats, league standing, overall player stats) on an EE-based site. If anyone has examples or insight, I’d love to hear it.

DraftHistory.com focuses on the NFL football draft. It is a pretty standard blog, using a modified standard template. It also contains many, many static pages that I create from a separate mysql database of statistics by programming on a desktop in PHP and REALBasic.

Thanks, Chris, that’s interesting to hear how you handle the stats.

Eric, I recently saw a post about a plugin that produces an entry form for tables. I realize your needs may be more complex with a sports-centric site, but it might be something helpful.

I thought I saved the URL, but can’t find it, and a quick search of the forums didn’t help. If you’re interested, perhaps someone can point you (us!) to it.

@ParisJC: Is this what you’re referring to? Multi Text

I believe that’s it. Glad to see you already had it. And I’ve got it bookmarked for sure now. 😉

I haven’t actually tried it out for any projects yet, but it certainly looks interesting, especially some of the examples people have shown of how they use it.
