    Hi all,

I’m a new ExpressionEngine customer even though I’ve been using CodeIgniter for some time.

I have a small site using CodeIgniter and I would like to know if is it possible to integrate part of that site (a controller, model and a couple of views) in a new site which is powered with EE.

If there isn’t an easy way, will it be possible when EE 2.0 is ready?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jose

I haven’t tried it, so can’t say directly.  But how are you trying to integrate them?  I don’t see a problem running them side-by-side, having some urls pull from EE and others from CI.  But beyond that, I’m not sure what you’re going for.

Also- going to shift over to ‘How to’, as it’s currently beyond standard EE coding.

    Robin,

thanks for answering so quickly and sorry for the misplaced post.

I would like to create some forms to enter data in a database and use that data to generate some files. I have that code running in CI but I wonder if is it possible to integrate that in my new site which uses EE.

Can I run custom PHP code inside EE? How? Inside a template?

For now I’ll send my users to the old CI site, but it would be great if I could use the EE members functionality and not force the users to login in a different site.

Thanks and please excuse my ignorance.

Jose, I use Solspace’s Freeform Module for all my EE form needs.
