exp:weblog:category_heading and "Category URL Titles In Links"

I enabled the option: Use Category URL Titles In Links. Category URL indicator is set to default category.
Now on the page with the following tag:
```
{exp:weblog:category_heading weblog="my_weblog"}
<h3>{category_name}</h3>
<p>{/exp:weblog:category_heading}
```
I don’t get any category names. The category names just ceased to show up. As soon as I disable that Category URL Titles option in Admin›Weblog Administration›Global Weblog Preferences, the category names are shown in their places again.

Am I doing something wrong, or am I just missing something? I searched the forum and knowledge base, but unfortunately nothing was found.

As I understand, it is not clear to {exp:weblog:category_heading} function, which category is being opened, when category ID is not present in the URL. It “thinks” there are no categories to be shown.
