I’m trying to import my content into EE, and did not have much success with the csv import.

I was wondering if there was a way to import posts from an RSS feed into EE. And if there is, does it support custom fields?

The Magpie Plugin may do it.

The Magpie plugin will only display feeds, though, not actually import them.

Try the FeedGrab plugin. There’s a brief tutorial here - http://www.brandnewbox.co.uk/logbook/article/expression_engine_feedgrab_plugin_tutorial/

Ahhh. FeedGrab sounds like the ticket.

Andrew, have you updated the Feedgrab and CSVGrab offerings to include the site_id field? In other words, are they MSM friendly?

I have just done so over the week-end and I used a simple XSLT stylesheet to turn the RSS feed in the MTImport format. Then I imported through the utilities in the CP. Works well.

    I’ll try FeedGrab. Thanks Andrew!
