Not that my opinion really matters much, but CI and EE are already so wonderful, I think there should definitely be a decent increase in the price. Not that i’m rich either, but Ellislab has done such a wonderful job in the past and with the EE 2.0 preview, i’m just head over heels. As the saying goes: You get what you pay for. Honestly though, i almost feel like i’m stealing EE from you. Right now it’s extremely cheap, ridiculously cheap, for what we get.
Then again i’m the type of person to buy a $2,500 refrigerator as opposed to a cheap one. I figure: I’m gonna pay a little more for the quality, not only will I get more features but i’ll be able to enjoy the features for the life of the fridge.
$150 for expressionengine and a forum, that’s just ridiculously cheap. Some would probably disagree, and seldom do I say “I’d pay more for it.”
One thing that makes me mad though, is paying for a freakin tagging module, which should(in my humble opinion) be included.
With the quality that comes from EllisLab, I know that what i’m paying for will pay for itself, and the quality will sustain my every desire(almost). 😛
The best thing though, is that I feel like i’m not going to get hacked.
I’ve seen too many websites explaining wordpress vulnerabilities and how to exploit someones wordpress site. Not that WP is bad, it’s good for some people. With the depth of the website i’m currently developing though, and all of the alterations i’m making, with very controversial topics, I’m guaranteeing a good amount of people will attempt to hack and destroy what I’m building.
So that wraps up my opinion, I’m glad you enjoyed it…. 😛
