I got a site called heelsndeals.com and I need to make a store to sell at least like 10 pairs of shoes for starters

the person sells women’s shoes on the street in brooklyn new york and he would like to expand his business by handing out his business card with his web address to his customers who buy his shoes on the street so they can just buy them on line.

I need a site that women would like shopping at so it’s got to be pretty.

Now what do I need to do to make this happen the guy did not give me any information on what he want’s to sell he just asked me for a proof of concept he is selling womens shoe’s high heels women have a thing for shoes

can someone map it out for me where do I start on my quest for a proof of concept site. Do I start with just bland mark up then add the glamour later

what are the steps (how many steps are there to produce a e-commerce store)

    1 first make a weblog
2 add custome fields to the weblog
    3 edit the items
    4 make a template

what I’m looking for are the steps in total of making a usable e-commerce design pattern I need to think but I am just asking for some supplemental knowledge that is not in the user guide like are there any pit falls to the testing

Do you have to be a member of the site to buy anything?

    Thanks!

Sounds like you need to get a better understanding of what the client is expecting. Proof of Concept is pretty broad. Does it mean the look-n-feel, just a wireframe, a working ecommerce site so the client can try it out.

Edit-Add: It could just mean researching other shoe sites and showing what others are doing and going from there.

    Hello Hi

Can you help me? I’ve come across a problem I can add a shoe but how do I factor in differnt shoe sizes of the same type of shoe? Do I have to add a weblog entry for each size? that sounds really redundant I hope I don’t have to find another e-commerce solution any help thanks

you can see my mock up here   I am not worried too much at what it looks like I need to get the logic part working first
