    I am new to using restricted areas and am having difficulty making them work. If I use the following simple code:

    {if member_group == "1"}
    Admin Panel
    {/if}

    it works provided I don’t have the www. before ‘mysite.com’. So if my URL is http://mysite.com I see that I am logged in correctly and see the test ‘Admin Panel’. As soon as I change the URL to ‘http://www.mysite.com’ it assumes I am no longer logged in and I do not see the text.

    I have changed my system preferences to indicate my home page as being http://www.mysite.com etc. Any advice?

    Is this conditional inside a weblog:entries tag? If so, I think you have to use logged_in_group_id.

    paulgalatis, this is usually caused by being logged in in the non-www version of your site versus the www version.

    If you set a Cookie Domain, everything should work for you.
