Does anyone know of any books out there on EE? The only book I have been able to find is through here.

(I highly recommend anyone considering EE as their CMS of choice to go through that tutorial)

There is a fair amount of digital documentation for EE, but I prefer a printed version (book) .... easier on the eyes!

    Thanks,

    D

    Hey Dan,
Like you I’m just ramping up on EE myself. I was given some advice from Clint over AenonFire.com (an incredibly well designed EE site) so let me pass on his advice. He suggests reading Weblog Solutions Book which has a chapter by Simon Collision on EE.  Then he also suggested using Simon’s Logical Blocks theme (available for download in the EE themese section).  Also, the Boyink.com tutorial has really helped me understand some of the basics of EE (he has this tutorial in book form now).

    Fender,

Thanks for the reply, and advice/links. Hmm.. Would be nice if Ellis Labs put a book out on the market. (hint hint Ellis, haha) .. Even the Docs section of this website would be a good book. Just something to read through when away from the computer. I can only take so much from reading on the computer, then my eyes start to wig out on me. hahaha.

Ellis Labs: Make a book of the Docs section and I will be the first to buy it!!!! 😊

    Thanks,

    D

I agree, the docs section is tough to get into in the beginning. I’m just happy I found Boyinks’ tutorial to help me get started.

    Fender,

Another fine resource is 5 Pieces. Some great stuff on there. Good tutorials on relating Weblog’s and photo galleries.
