I’ve had Expression Engine for over a year now, but beyond watching the video tutorials and trying out some of the default examples, I have not really created a full functioning site.
My problem is this: I have three blogs now - two Wordpress, one Tumblr - and I’m tired of keeping track of all three; I want to combine them all. I was hoping EE could help me out with this and I think it can, I just need help getting started.
I have two main interests - screenwriting and animation. The former blog is located at http://storyfanatic.com the latter at http://sewardstreet.com (which is in some disrepair since I was just waiting to get my EE install going). I basically want to be able to just publish from the one installation of EE and have it serve up the blogs on the different domains.
First Question: Is this possible? Will the Multi-Site Manager be the thing I should look into?
My other question involves bringing it all together. There is some overlap with categories between the sites but I’m not sure exactly how I should organize it all. Should I have three main categories - Screenwriting, Animation, Personal (for the tumblog) and then create sub categories under there? Or is there a more elegant solution?
Second Question: What would be the best way to organize my categories/category groups in order to painlesly acheive the result I’m after?
