Could EE be used to build a site such as gamespot?

That’s a pretty big site to surf through and figure out all of the features that would be needed. Nothing leaped out at me as being impossible in a quick scan. But there are a lot of different elements in play, so I couldn’t say for certain.
Do you have a specific list of things you’re looking to do with EE? And have you given a trial version a test run? That’s the best way to get a feel for EE and how it works.
But if you can zero in on some specific elements you’re not sure EE can handle, we can probably give you some more specific answers.
