I’m looking at EE for a new client.  Here’s what I want to know…

    1. licensing.  I will be having a dev box and two mirrored prod environments all with identical installs of EE, just with script sync-ing.  Is this possible with one commercial license?

    2. end-user accounts/access.  My client has clients and wants them to be able to log into the website (not the EE publishing interface) and go to their specific page that has mockups etc…  is this possible in EE?  is there a built-in module or add-on for this?

    3. these end-user clients need to have passwords and usernames with the “forgot username/password” functionality.  Anything already developed for this?

    Thanks so much!

    Hey panzhull…welcome…
    ——-
    1) You are allowed to have a dev install (or possibly more than one) as long as it’s not publicly available. Is script syncing possible may be the bigger question and it depends on what you are trying to do and exactly how. EE doesn’t necessarily work well in a dev/staging/live type setup/environment.
    2) It’s built-in. In it’s simplest form, you assign a client to a member group, limit the page/area/etc. to be viewed by that memberGroup only (as well as the admin, your client).
    3) Yes, that functionality is also built-in.
