I had been following the jambor-ee.com “Building an EE Site in 24 Days” and was intrigued how they were going to implement the member login form (and other member forms) into the design of the site. From most other EE websites I’ve seen, when the user interacts with a member template, they are taken out of the custom designed templates and taken into EE’s member templates, that while functional they are not pretty.
Are bits and pieces of these member templates (like the login form) available to implement into a site? Isn’t the CSS controlled in the /system/member PHP ? It seems that every other aspect of EE is extremely easy for me to customize and I love EE. But I seem to be scared of diving into the member templates.
Can anyone share some insight/wisdom/tips into using the member templates? I’m going to be developing a very large (several hundred users) and I really want to use EE, but I afraid if the member templates are difficult to work with, it may not be a good option.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben
