I just launched an EE powered site, and I’m ready to start bringing in content from a few major news channels via RSS.

    - What are the simple steps to getting this setup in EE.

    - If I need to stream to a reader (i.e. MyYahoo) first, which ones have the EE community found to do the best job.

    - How are these presented within my EE blog?  Do I need to create a special div class in the right margin to differentiate news feeds from my blog entries?

    - What common problems tend to come with doing this, and how can I plan to avoid them?

Check the magpie RSS parser. I’ve had good luck with it.

The main issues with grabbing feeds from other sites, is the lag you can get depending on the speed from the server hosting the feed. I’m sure there are more issues, but thats been the biggest one for me.

Is it possible to set times so it pulls in content on in the middle of the night?

Just wanted to bump this one up, since mid-night streaming could be a good solution for my lag problem.
