Would anyone know how to show weblog entries when looking at their deepest-level category only?

Example:
Category structure

Category 1
- subcategory 1
- subcategory 2

When looking at category 1, I see all weblog entries associated with that category as well as its subcategories.
Is there a way to limit the weblog entries to only ones that have been assigned to category 1 and not its subcategories?

Ok, I found the solution just after I did a major hack. 😖 If you go to Admin > Global Weblog Preferences > Auto-Assign Category Parents, that will do the trick.
