Is anyone else having problems posting new topics?

Every time I try to submit a topic I get back an empty “new topic” page again and I have to paste what I’ve written earlier and re-submit again until several times until it posts my topic. It’s getting really frustrating.

*sigh* the same issue exists with the replies as well.

(this is about the 6th time I submit this reply)

Sorry to hear it KeyStroke.  Which browser and version are you using, and can you try another?

I sounds very much like your ISP is roatating IP numbers on you.  One potential way around it would be to prepare your answer in a text editor, then hit post-reply (don’t use the fast reply) and then paste and send.  Presumably you’ll have the same IP address long enough to paste and send.

Are you in South Africa by chance?

I’m having the same problem and yes, I am in South Africa.  What have we done wrong ? 😛

South Africa is behind a country-wide firewall that rotates ipaddress regularly.  This means that our forum security thinks that you are someone else trying to “pretend” to be allank.  For now, is it feasible for you to use the solution I suggested last post?  Sorry for the inconvenience, and welcome to CI!

    sucks to be us 😛

I’ve enabled the proxy server for the main ISP out of the country to see if it makes any difference.  Makes the forum a bit slower than it was, but with any luck the IP number will remain consistent enough…

that post worked ok, but it might have just been luck.  I’m taking a bit of time in the “Post New Reply” screen to give the IP a chance to cycle if that’s what the problem was earlier.

    I’m using

    cache.saix.net:8080

as my proxy server at the moment.
