Can anyone help me here. I have a client that wants to be able to archive all weblogs that have expired. Is this a feature of EE?
This is an archived forum and the content is probably no longer relevant, but is provided here for posterity.

Hi, Natty - can you clarify on this a bit? Weblogs themselves don’t expire in ExpressionEngine, but entries do; and by default, will disappear from the site after expiration. Did you want to expire entire weblogs, or are the entries still showing up? Or something else? =)

Hey there Lisa,
My client wants the weblog entries to expire but wants those entries to be archived on the system somewhere. Does this make some sense?
Quote from brief
“Expired Content to remain avalaible for admin users in the CMS, or a mechanism to deliver expired content to our internal servers for archiving”
Hope this helps with my question.
Cheers

Certainly. You can use the expiration date to expire the entries - then they will disappear from any templates where you do not explicitly have show_expired set to yes. =)
