I just wanted to say how happy I am with Expression Engine. This is just the neatest thing since sliced pie.

Me and my partner been working extensively with Joomla for the past 4 years, but I constantly find a lot of it’s limitations frustrating. It has a good variety of add-ons, but there are tables and little “quirks” to deal with on a usual basis that end up being frustrating. And I don’t know why, but I just have the perception that EE is a more professional solution.

We are working now on moving a client’s site from Joomla to EE. The fact that there is not a flexible user permissions system built into Joomla or a way to categorize things flexibly was causing them to have a lot of limitations because they have a complex site with several authors who need permissions to add content to specific sections, but not touch anything else.

I am so glad we decided to give EE a go. The more I go along and read about it, the more excited I get. I’ve also been following the tutorial over at Jambor-ee and have been so excited about all of the things you could do right out of the box without needing to know php, I almost didn’t sleep last night, lol.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for such a nice product. I’m really looking forward to using it on lots of client sites in the future.
