i have a client that is looking to do a website that includes an online reservation system for a rally-type race track. a few details of the functionality are:

    1) users would be able to book and pay for up to 13 different types of uses for the track.
    2) the administrators would need to be able to add formal events (like scheduled races) that would block out dates from the reservation system.
    3) the first three “products” would be simple reserve and pay (with cancellations being handled by the administrators).
    4) the remaining products would have options that would determine the price. (this is really a question about whether the simple commerce module can handle…ummm…dependent dropdowns maybe).
    5) race results that can be searched on and drilled into (this i have no idea if there’s some kind of plug-in for)

the booking idea is something like http://www.toddsleap.com/index.php?sub=bo

can this be done with EE?

    many thanks,

    Hi Nessnzoe,

What you want to do is not available out-of-the-box with EE. You could get pretty close but you’d most likely be looking at some custom development to get the booking system the way you want it.

cool, leslie. that’s pretty much what i thought. not being a php gal though, i’ll post a note in the developer’s job forum to see if there’s anyone available to help out.

    many thanks for the reply,
