Just wondering what people’s opinions on the varous JS image scripts.
Why would you choose one over the other? Is there a place I can compare them or something?
Thanks

You can search for them under Google and read about them and work out which is the best based on what you need to achieve.
Personally I prefer Thickbox as it allows me to show HTML as well as images. Good for logins or snippets of information.

Ya, after learning that Thickbox was built on jQuery, I was leaning towards it as then I only need one framework.

hello,
I’m trying to get lightwindow to work on my site with no luck yet but I think it’s pretty good stuff you can just use anything html, swf, images , movies , etc etc…
don’t have a link right now but search stickmanlab or lightwindow in google and you’ll find it 😉
hope it helps
BTW me not getting it to work as got nothing to do with the script it’s just me not knowing how to and beeing a NOOB ...
regards

i have lightwindow running on my site and it works reasonably well. the reason i used it was it seemed to be the best all around script that could do not only images, but video, flash, and flv. not to mention html and iframes. of all the ones i tried, this worked the best for my needs. see it in action if you like…

I use thickbox, have not been 100% pleased with it, but it works. Can’t it do video, flash, iframes, etc as well?
I like how lightwindow looks and its customization potential. But it seems slow to me. Does it to any one else?
And can’t we all just agree on a javascript library already? Scriptalicious, jquery, mootools ... every js app has a different library it seems. Blerg.

Since I usually use jQuery for my ajaxy stuff, it’s Thickbox for me.
