While trying to create a category structure for my site tonight, I discovered, much to my chagrin, that categories cannot start with a number (why?). That being said, the plan for me naming my categories after the different decades in the form of 1900, 1910, 1920, etc has just gone out the window.

So here’s my question; I can obviously call 1920 ‘twenties’ and 1930 ‘thirties’ and so on, right on up to 2000…but what would you call the decade that starts with 1900? or what about 1910?

Just wondering. I’ve been puzzling over it the last hour or so 😊

Thinking about this s’more last night after having gone to bed, I realized that my idea of having a breadcrumb trail based on categories seems to be out the window now - I was hoping for something along the lines of bikes > 1920 > 1923-info ...but if I can’t have categories that start with numbers, then this is out the window.

Any thoughts on how to approach this?

Not to resurrect a dead topic that no one responded to, but just as an FYI, it would seem I can create a category starting with a number now.

Not sure this was an upgrade from 1.6 to 1.6.1, or I was just being really stupid, but yay!
