    Here’s what happens:

    - I want to add an image to an entry
    - Edit Entry > Upload File
    - Pop up window : File Browser
    - Select a file
    - Select field: I tried a few different ones
    - View image works
    - I click Insert link, nothing happens
    - I click Insert URL, nothing happens

Don’t know if it makes a difference but I have the HTML toolbar off
    - Mac Firefox 2.0.0.8

    What is supposed to happen?

Assuming you are not using a Super Admin account, you might want to make sure the Member Group you are using to upload the image has permissions set to upload files. Admin > Weblog administration > File upload preferences. You’ll see the permissions at the bottom of that page.

    Here’s an update:

Yes I was logged in as a Super Admin.
    The uploading worked fine.

I found that I could add the tag to an input text field, but no textarea fields like Body, Extended…

So I can insert it into Summary and cut and paste, but it seems like somethings missing with the textareas.

Do you have any extensions installed?  It should allow you to insert the image code into any field available via the dropdown.  When you try- are you getting any js errors?

This seems to work now. The image code gets inserted at the bottom of the text, so I must have missed it. I had expected it to be inserted where my cursor was.

Ah- yep, that makes more sense.  That’s expected behavior, though I can see why you’d have thought it goes in at the cursor.
