Our client wants to migrate to EE from their current cms but we are concerned about retaining the URL format so that they don’t lose rankings in Google. Will EE allow reproducing the currently used URL format?

    Examples of our URLs:

    http://www.relenta.com/tour/email.html
    http://www.relenta.com/tour/contacts.html
    http://www.relenta.com/tour/calendar.html

    Appreciate your help!

Hi, seologist,  Welcome to our forums!

ExpressionEngine does not use extensions on the pages - so your best bet would be to do a permanent redirect so that Google can re-index your pages, which won’t harm your rank at all, and bookmarks, etc, will still work.  That shouldn’t really be too much of a problem, especially if your URLs are in a fairly standard format.
