For those who haven’t heard jQuery UI was released today. Check it out.

Also, jQuery 1.2.1 was released late last night. This comes nearly a week after jQuery 1.2 hit the streets.

Also, there are some other effects available in the “official” Interface plugin that you don’t find in UI:

    Interface Effects

They may get rolled into UI, but for now, you’ve got a few more options there…

Also, many folks may know this already, but in the ‘Console’ tab of the Firebug plugin, you can run jQuery queries and get live results from the command line(!)  So long as the page you’re viewing is linking to jQuery, the results are returned as an array, so you can try out your DOM traversing in real time.

I’ve been using jQuery for some time but didn’t realize this until I saw John Resig doing it in a screencast…

    Yikes,

So far virtually all of the ui demos have problems in IE, and numerous items don’t work at all.

There’s also a few that didn’t work in FF either.

I’ve had great success using jquery on both of my sites. I hope this gets fixed soon. Some of the errors were show stoppers (fatal errors with warning windows) and some look like they might just be CSS.

    Hope it gets worked out

Maadmac, I didn’t realize that! Do you have the link to the screencast your referring to? I’m gonna have to try this out.

JT, can you post which UI items you’ve had issues with?

Several of the drag/drop examples don’t work in Safari either. It looks like UI still needs some work. Until then, I’ll stick with Interface.
