I just posted a job to the job board, and while I was purchasing credits to do so I started wondering what they were using to process CCs. The don’t use the SCM or if they do, it has been altered to process CCs directly (not via paypal).
What are they using?
What CC gateway does it tie to?
Is is something that can be purchased?

I remember reading that it was written by Ellis Lab. It was written prior to the SCM. I am not aware that it can be purchased, but there are rumors on this forum that a full featured commerce module is in the works.

Our current store is a custom solution based off many of the core libraries contained within ExpressionEngine that was written back prior to the beta of ExpressionEngine was released. Unsurprisingly, it has been expanded to handle many more abilities and has given us a great feeling for what a full featured Commerce module must be able to handle.
