The green buttons that appear near the top right of certain sections of the control panel aren’t showing up - eg “create a new weblog” or “create a new template group”. The actual link text is still there and I can click on it, but I can’t see it because without the green button it’s white on white - see attached image. I’ve checked my cp_themes folder and the green buttons are there, they’re just not showing.

One thing that I thought might be causing it - I moved to a new server last weekend and had to apply this fix to get the style on my control panel to work again.

Any suggestions on how I can fix it?

Double check that you’ve uploaded all the images in themes\cp_themes\default\images\.

Or view source and see which exact one is missing.

Yeah I just installed EE on Media Temple’s GS hosting and I am not seeing the Green Buttons in the Control Panel either.

I tried the fix as you link to and that didn’t resolve it. I have also verified that the images exist… maybe its a path issue? My system folder is not called system…

    not sure.

If you ‘view source’, what’s the resulting image link look like?  And what should it look like to be correct?

Looking at the paths for the buttons images missing you see this:

    url(<a href="http://my">http://my</a> URL/themes/cp_themes/default/images/bg_button_div.gif)

What I notice missing is my “system” folder where these items live. (I have my main index outside of my “system” folder, which I named something else, lets say “mysystem” for this.)

I notice that when I add this folder into the path the button image appears, messed up but it shows.

    url(<a href="http://my">http://my</a> URL/MYSYSTEM/themes/cp_themes/default/images/bg_button_div.gif)

Is there a way to change where the path is pointed to? I see some path includes, even in the css but don’t know where/how to tell it where my system folder lives.

    Thanks,

So you’re saying your themes directory is inside your system directory instead of at the same level as your system directory?

Ordinarily the themes directory is at the same level.

EE stores two settings to where the themes folder is.

You can change those values to match up with what you have. (General configuration under System Preferences.)
