If someone manually changes a URL like
http://www.example.com/section/item/individual-title/
to
http://www.example.com/section/item/
how do you get that page to redirect to a 404 page?
Because on a site I’ve just done, the template is looping inside itself.

About midway down the page, you’ll see the info on redirecting to a 404 page.

Thanks, that didn’t quite work out the way I wanted but it led me in the direction of something else that works instead.
