    Hi all,

Can EE support support “staging” of new content items?  I know that EE supports a simple workflow (e.g. open, closed statuses and groups) which is somewhat related, but I’d like to take it a bit further.

Ideally, there would be a separate instance of EE where authors can create, review and edit content, and then deploy from this “staging” environment to a production environment where it is viewable by the public.

    Thoughts?

Doable. Basically, a few more custom statuses (Submitted, Reviewed, etc.) and an additional template(group) should do most of what you want.

Ditto Ingmar- what I’d probably do is have a separate template group that mimics the ‘live’ templates but shows additional/different statuses.  So you see the ‘in progress’ bits as they should appear, but they don’t go live until you switch them to a ‘live’ status.
