    Hi!

I am very new to the CMS scene so pardon if the following idea sounds crazy. I am trying to figure out the best solution for the following scenario. A financial company has their website hosted on a third party custom CMS which allows for quick and easy editing of the web pages. It works just fine and there is no need to change anything there. A new secure section must be added to the website. This section will be hosted on another server (outside of where the current CMS is installed). I need a CMS on this new server which would allow for creation and management of users (reset and change password capability) and their access to personalized pages. When a user logs in he should see a page with download links to his personal files. These files should be available only to that specific user and no other user. At the same time I want it to be easy for the website administrator to upload new files to these user pages without having to hand code each link. This is pretty much all that CMS will need to do on this server Is it possible to achieve this scenario with ExpressionEngine and its existing modules? Or do I need to look at something else?

I will appreciate any comments and suggestions. If you need more info, just let me know and I will try to explain it better.

    Thanks!

    Hi Vitaliy,

Thanks for considering EE but its not made for the type of project you describe. What you’re describing is more a project for a document management application.
