I want to have a list of content in a column on every page of my site. This content is separated into sections like
Section 1
- Content 1
- Content 2
- Content 3
- Content 4
- Content 5
Section 2
- Content 1
- Content 2
- Content 3
- Content 4
- Content 5
etc. Should each section be stored in its own weblog? Does EE support nesting?
i.e
Section 1
- Content 1
—Content 2

You can use a weblog for each section or use a single weblog and assign a category to each section. It all depends, check this Wiki article for more info.
Not tooo sure what you mean by nesting though…
