I cam across this screencast of the new Plone 3.0’s built in editor (kupu 1.4) and thought it seemed like great workflow and I was particularly interested in the ease of use for non technical clients.
Movie can be found here - http://www.archive.org/download/EditingwithPlone/editingwithplone.mov (unfortunately it’s a 50mb mov - but worth it)
The whole WYSIWYG UI and especially the image manipulation towards then end felt extremely slick.
The editor is Kupu (which I was surprised to find that there wasn’t any mention of it on the EE forums) - http://plone.org/products/kupu and http://kupu.oscom.org/
Towards the end of the pic they show built in image resizing (based of a drop down list of presets), alignment floats, built in dynamic image resizing, and drop down css styles and page linking.
I know much of this can be hacked together with tinyMCE or various other solutions but this just seemed to have the best of all worlds.
The docs on integration with other CMS’s aren’t very appealing (at least from what I could find) but I was just wondering if anyone has looked at integrating this?
Or even from an EE development point of view the whole workflow seemed extremely user friendly while still producing compliant xhtml output. Maybe someone is interested on putting an EE spin on this?
