Okay last question, thanks for the help thus far.

As I’ve stated I am doing a site with different member types. There are three groups. Free Members, Beta Members, Alpha Members. I do not want Free Members having access to or seeing blog entries under the category of “Members Only.” Also I’d like to keep Beta and Free Members out of the forum (that’s for Alpha Members). In the member groups control panel I don’t see any setting to keep a particular group out of forums or out of certain types of blog entries. Expression engine can do this, right? I’m just being dense?

    Thank you

Control over what different member groups see in the forums and templates is not controlled in the member groups control panel. You need to put the code or set the values manually.

For instance - you can restrict content to various templates based on member group.

    EEDocs:// Template Access

    Or by status.

    Custom Entry Statuses

As far as the forum is concerned, here’s a link to the docs: Forum Setup

Does that make more sense now?

    Thanks Sue! That makes sense.
