I’ve been checking out the developer docs at Pando, which is a large file distribution service which is a hybrid of p2p, bittorrent, and direct download (from Pando’s server network).
You can also create channels through RSS feeds, so might be a great podcasting/media distribution solution for use alongside EE.
Also: new ways to integrate it further:
Pando is pleased to be able to announce the release of the Pando Command Line (pcl, pronounced “pickle”). This tool allows you to integrate Pando into web sites and other automated processes.
The Pando Command Line allows you to automate:
* publishing content from a content management system into the Pando network, including your own package thumbnail graphics, and
* downloading content from the Pando network.
So far I’ve been using the Pando client to send large audio files for transcription, rather than using my own server space. Currently works well.
