    Hi there,

sometimes I write 2 or 3 entries at the same time in my blog and set the publish date for 2 of them to a date in the future. I’m wondering what happens with trackbacks for the entries which will be not published immediatly? Can I set the trackbacks during typing the entries or do I have to set the trackbacks _after_ “official” publishing the entries?

    Trackbacks or pings?

Future items won’t show until they’re ready. So your trackback information won’t be visible anywhere.

Now pinging is a different story. There is no re-pinging of entries when they become visible. You have to re-ping by hand.

    Ahh, cool, thanks.

I mean trackbacks. Do I have to do a manual Re-Trackback after publishing/delivering the item through the system? Or will the Trackback sent automatically when the item is accessable at the modified point in the frontend?

Ah- sending a trackback ping is pretty much like sending a ping.  For that, you’d need to do it manually when it’s published.  Your tackback info so that others may send you a trackback will appear automatically once the entry is visible.
