I just installed the solspace tag module which is unbelievably cool 😊 and is a great tool for SEO.

I want to go a step futher. in the meta tags I am now using tags as the keywords for each entry. But I want to do a similar service for the description.

I use the {summary} for the description but of course it includes all the HTML.

Is there a way to strip ALL the html out so it will only post the actual text?

Oh yes, that’s perfect. Thank you!

    Edit: Interesting..

I created a global replacement for one of my posters. When she puts in {keyword} EE replaces that with keyword.

The problem is frequently this is done on the summary. I wonder if there is any way I could get around this.  The problem is the quotes are stopping the description tag. make sense?

You may have “Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links?” set to yes in the weblog preferences?
