Itemized list categorized by custom field

    I haven’t been able to find anything to this effect on the board. I’m looking to create a page that displays a list that looks like this:

    [b]Title[/b]
    - Entry 1
    - Entry 2
    - Entry n…
    
    [b]Title[/b]
    - Entry 1
    - Entry 2
    - Entry n…

    The titles would reflect the contents of a custom field, and the items in each list are entries associated with that value. So, for example, if a custom field can be populated with, say, a meal course (Appetizer, Entree, Dessert), then each entry denoted as Appetizer would appear in that list. Obviously, using categories would be a solution here; however, I already have categories being used for something else…

    You might like to search for the Sortee plugin by Mr Wilson - I believe that can handle this.

    You can also have multiple category groups for one weblog, so don’t discount using categories for this just because you already are using them… =)

    Lastly, you might look up relationships and reverse relationships in the docs, going from your example that might be a good way to handle this data.
