rd - what is this, and is it allowed by BrowserCam itself?  Perhaps you can explain a bit more about what you are talking about.

It’s a group of folks that pay collectively for a 40-user account.  It is allowed by browsercam.

From the person administrating this pool:

I am still waiting to hear from Browsercam who are very slow at getting back to me. Last year we paid $499 (around $15 each + fees) for the “Classic plan” that looks like a Classic Plus” cause we have the device capture feature included.

There is still the possibility of upgrading to Premium Plan - if they accept us being up to 40 users - that would mean:

-Browser Capture (Priority capture queue for shorter wait times)
-Device Capture (For your mobile page development needs)
-Remote Access (With doubled session time limits)
-BC-Virtual (Included with our compliments along with 10GB of free storage space)
and complimentary access to new services as they’re released in the future.

    Cost would be:
    $999.95 / 40 = $25 (+Payment processing fees)

Hope that helps.  I don’t use it very much and it’s very cheap so I don’t ask a lot of questions.

Is it much better than using http://browsershots.org or http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/index.php though? I always seem to find that Browsershots does fine for me although haven’t really used Browsercam all that much apart from a quick freebie session I was once offered.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

I’ve used it in the past.  Someone donated an account to us to test some free scripts (not for client sites).  It’s much faster than browershots but esentially the same thing.  From what I remember, there is also remote access to PC/Macs using the various browsers so you can troubleshoot JavaScript and the like.

After taking a quick look at their website, I had forgotten that you can also do screen captures on Mobile devices.  I might look into it as I will be needing to design a mobile device compaitble of one of my sites in a little while.

I’ve had much better luck with BrowserCam than BrowserShots. Has been a lot faster.
