CP still shows as version 1.5.2 after smooth update?

Hello,
We updated to 1.6 from 1.5.2. I followed the instructions and everything seemed to go fine. Our site is working and the CP has taken on the new theme… except that it still says ‘ExpressionEngine v 1.5.2’ at the top and in the footer (Build: 20070627).

Like I say, all seems fine except I have this nagging doubt that ‘everything’ went according to plan?

Take a look at this thread entitled “Version not updating from 1.5.2 to 1.6.0”. Does the solution offered there help you?
