i was wondering if anyone’s aware of a link directory module (link indexing) script for EE. i know it’d be possible to recreate 90% of one just as a weblog, however, there’s still a few crucial features that would be missing (mainly a way to periodically batch validate all links, and then mass delete links that are dead, and also have a paid priority link listing). here’s a link to a script that basically does all i want, and though i could probably shoe horn it into my EE site, it sure would be nice to use a single admin, user login and db, etc… http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/demo/
anyhow, i’m hoping maybe someone has made strides in creating something with similar functionality before i go about spending the next week or two trying to figure out how to hack it together myself. regardless, it seems like this would be a great module for EE (along with a public events listing/calendar).
