Hi:
Is there a way to mass unsubscribe all guests from comment notification, and even disable this feature for them? I’m getting more and more bounced emails from EE trying to send “Someone just responded to your entry…” emails to guests who have entered incorrect email addresses.

CP Home ›  Admin ›  Utilities > SQL Manager > Database Query Form
and run the following query:

UPDATE exp_comments SET notify='n' WHERE author_id='0';

This will disable comment notification for all comments posted by non-members (guests).

Then just make sure the notification-checkbox in your comments-template is only visible for logged-in members.
Looks similar to this:

{if logged_in}
<input type="checkbox" name="notify_me" value="yes" {notify_me} /> Notify me of follow-up comments?
{/if}

Nice one, silenz.  You always need to be careful with direct manipulation of the db- but this is spot on!
