Hi,
My client just discovered that while logged in members don’t have access to users profiles on a forum, non-logged in members do.
Yikes! I need to get this site back up (turned off now for security reasons).
Any ideas?

This is an archived forum and the content is probably no longer relevant, but is provided here for posterity.
The active forums are here.

If you edit both the Guest Group and your Member group - then look at Admin › Members and Groups › Member Groups › Edit Member Group › Members
and choose the right preference for “Can view public profiles” - you probably want no in this case for guests at least.

Lisa,
Thanks for the almost instantanious support!
So I doesn’t look like there is a way to disable the forums comletely from non members. Is that correct?

T-
I was able to get the global
{if logged_in}working and placed it around anything I only wanted shown to logged in users - ended up having an error in the footer template from the post in an earlier thread.
So the content section looks something like this
<div id="content">
{if logged_in}
path stuff here {include:main_forum_list}
{include:visitor_stats}
{include:forum_legend}
{/if}
{if logged_out}
{include:login_form}
{/if}
</div>
Hope this helps.
