I have a simple question about the dynamic_start=“on” feature for RSS/Atom feeds.

Am I right in assuming that the dynamic start date for the feeds is dynamic based on each user request and not based on something about the entries (i.e. not the same date for everyone)?

    http://expressionengine.com/docs/modules/weblog/parameters.html#par_dynamic_start

NB: the link to: (RFC3229 info) in the docs doesn’t work.

I had to poke a bit to spot how it works- but yes, assuming that the request sends appropriate headers, EE will dynamically ‘start on’ based on those headers.  In short- it will be request specific in those cases, rather than simply based on a universal date.

Did that make sense?  (And thanks for the ‘heads up’ on the docs.  Need to get that fixed!)

Thanks for your clarification Robin, that makes sense.
