Now that 1.6 was released, as well as a MSM, I’ve got another issue.
Is it possible now to have more than one member database or is this still shared? Is it hard to separate the database, or set up a separate one for another site? I’m not that great with MySQL, so it may not be possible for me to do. Not sure.

Hi Christian - the member database is still shared, and it would be difficult to to separate it. However many of the member-functions are done per-site, so that you can gain quite a bit of flexibility with it. If you have not watched the MSM video I recommend that you watch it through to the end, where you will see how you can change member-group settings per site.

I have watched the MSM video, but I don’t think I specifically listened for that feature. Now that you mentioned member-functions, I think I do know how this is done.

Watch that part again, it’s pretty neat. =) Once you consider how you can do that for all of those settings, you’ll see just how powerful it is.
