    Hi,

I downloaded and updated our forum (http://your.sydneyanglicans.net/forums) and followed the instruction: http://expressionengine.com/docs/modules/forum/forum_update.html

I was waiting for the module to upgrade as written in the document.

It all looked good (backend) until I visit the (frontend of) forum and it says: Forum does not appear to be installed.

    What should I do now?

    Kind regards,
    Robert M

Do you happen to be running your forum through normal templates?  And though it’s likely unrelated, I’m assuming you followed the version specific notes for the 2.0 update already? :-D

I followed the READ BEFORE INSTALL included in the zip file, and then the link to this page, how to update from earlier version: http://expressionengine.com/docs/modules/forum/forum_update.html I assume this document is notest for upgrade to 2.0

Yes, I’m referring to the Version Notes for 2.0 at the bottom of that page.  You’ve already visited the Forum control panel?  And in the Modules section is displays as version 2.0?  Do you have a tab for “Forum Boards”?

Yes, it says 2.0 and I have tab for forum boards.

What I might have done and I shoudlnt is to install forum 2.0 without upgrade EE first from the latest 1.5.2 to 1.6?

You definitely need to upgrade to 1.6 first. =)

Go ahead and update to 1.6 now and things should straighten out.

Yep, that would be the first note at the top of the update page. 😉

Let us know how it goes!
