Im trying to setup “lead capture”. It is the typical “fill out form, get a pdf.

I’m a bit stumped, and need some help if anyone has done this in the past.

I setup a blog, page one lists out all the entries (available pdf’s for download)

Clicking on an entry, takes you to a page with a form.

This is were things get tricky. I’m using freeform pro to capture the data and link vault to deliver the file.

I obviously need to capture the form data, and I need to count the downloads, I also need to hide the file so it isn’t emailed all over gods creation.

I thought this would be easy, but it turns out I cant deliver a pdf on form submit AND take them to a thank you page, using freeform pro.

So I had to resort to adding that third page in there. Once the form is filled out and submitted, data is captured and then the user is sent to this third page where they can download the file

However, in freeform pro, using the “freeform:entries ” tag, it appears as though I can’t add in the link vault code within it’s tags.

Now im beginning to look at cookies to pass the file name to the third page, then inject it into the link vault link ... and oh my, this is way over kill!

What’s the easy way out for this. I’m having a hard time thinking that a simple lead capture in EE is this complex.

I’ve Tried to work with freeform pro, link vault, Cookie Plus, Freebie, Member Downloads, Stash .. etc.. but just cant figure this out.

    Thanks
