Access channel through "Addons -> Modules -> Pages", but not through "Content -> Publish"

Hi! I’d like to know if there’s a way to prevent the user from accessing/editing an entry through “Publish -> Channel”, but allow them to access it through “Pages -> Channel”.

I think (and client agrees) that it’s confusing that you can edit/delete/add-more-than-one of an entry that’s supposed to be static content (a channel type made for using with the Pages Module).

Let’s say I have a Channel called “About the Company”, that has static content, using the Pages Module.
I’d like it to be accessed through “Addons -> Modules -> Pages -> About the Company”, but not through “Content -> Publish/Edit -> About the Company”.

    Is that possible?

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, this issue has been around for ages. 😊

A quick and easy solution? Get Single Entry for $5. It let’s you declare Home, Contact and other unique pages as single entries, removes them from Publish and Edit and puts them in a folder under Content you can name whatever you want, for example Pages or Single Entries.

I’ve attached a screenshot for you.
