I just upgraded to 2.8.1. Since then, there is a problem with pagination if the channel entries tag is displayed by month.

This is my channel entries tag:

{exp:channel:entries channel="journal|photos" site="stw|rm" display_by="month" limit="6" paginate="both"}

Pagination links are pointing to the correct url, but it’s always the first page that is displayed.

If I take out the display by parameter, everything works as expected:

{exp:channel:entries channel="journal|photos" site="stw|rm" paginate="both"}

Is this a bug? Expected changes? I could not find anything related in the docs.

this can’t by done on all EE versions not just in 2.8.1

display_by don’t work with pagination.

the only way to get it work by hacking the EE code, or write some model which extended the original {channel:entries}

actually I write one now for this purpose.

I will post it here when it ready.

Well that’s strange, because it definitely worked for me before. (Used the page almost every day to check for past events ).

what is the EE version before upgraded ??

Not really sure, it was 2.6.? or 2.7.? (couldn’t find the info on the log from before the upgrade)
