    Hey Peeps,

I’ve tried updating my EE 2.5.5 to 2.7.2 and/or 2.7.3 but I’m having no luck. I’ve tried several times now and it does not work. I keep getting a white page once the update process gets to 2.7.2. When I check the update log table in the db I see this error:

Could not create key ‘comment_date_idx’ on table ‘exp_comments’. Key already exists.

When I login to the CP at the top I see the following message:

Your ExpressionEngine installation’s version (2.7.1) is not consistent with the reported version (2.7.2). Please update your installation of ExpressionEngine again.

My server setup is the following:

    Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS
    Apache 2.2.14
    PHP 5.3.2
    MySql 5.1.7

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Mike

Not sure if this will help but sometimes if the Comments module wasn’t installed that could sometimes cause the upgrade to fail.

If that’s the case, restore site to 2.5.5, install the Comments module, then try the upgrade again…

    Hi Rob,

Thank you for the quick reply. I do have the comments module installed. Any other thoughts?

    Thank you,

    Mike

Can’t really suggest any more, that’s the onlt time I came across the same issue.

I suggest dropping Ellislab a support ticket, they’ll soon sort it for you…
