Cannot Submit New Entry or Edit Old Entry After Upgrading EE from 2.6.1 to 2.7.1

Hi,

I just upgraded EE on my site from 2.6.1 to 2.7.1. I cannot “Submit” a new entry or edit an old one. When I click on “Submit,” it is not submitted, and not-required fields are shown to be required, and a red exclamation mark appears near the Publish tab.

What could be the problem? Very frustrated… :(
