Need Help - Call to Action Photo - Novice

We had our website designed and set up for us. It sat untouched for about 3 1/2 years.  I volunteered and was able to make all of the necessary changes (personnel, products) using the existing format. I had even inserted some new photos using a section in the one called Call to Action photos.
Last month our whole staff had our photos taken by a profession with the idea of adding them to the website. Today I re-sized the photos and proceeded to start to upload them onto the page.

On the page there is at the top a section that says “upload” file and you can choose where to put the photo and then you can below that choose where the photo goes.  I may have uploaded to the wrong place
One choice is the Main upload directory and the other Client Resources Area.  I have probably uploaded to both now (but can not figure out where that is…I have searched in the MySQL Database but am very hesitant to dig very deeply there).

In fact when making changes on the webpage I do it in very baby steps…but because I had done this before I thought I remembered how.

Now in the section called “call to action photos” there are three relatively large empty boxes, one of which has a check box that I think is supposed to remove it…but it doesn’t.  When I do “preview” it shows the photo I uploaded (but way too big) and online there is no photo and I can’t seem to delete the boxes…

    each of the boxes has something like - ” target=“_blank”>“https://ellislab.com/asset/images/team-photo/FileName_MedSmall_IMG_9465.jpg” style=“border: 0;” alt=“image” width=“256” height=“320” >“https://ellislab.com/asset/images/ent-partner-logo/FileName_MedSmall_IMG_9465.jpg”

It is way beyond me. HELP - what did I do and how do i correct it?
